The following collections of
tunes are presented in ABC format. If you don't already have ABC then I can
highly recommend it. It was developed as a system for transmitting music over
the internet and in e mails using only the keys of your computer keyboard. It
therefore uses a tiny number of bytes compared with gifs etc. The program
will then play the tunes to you or draw excellent quality sheet music for
you. The program is available free from the ABC homepage, with a small charge
to enable printing of music. Feel free to download the
following pages. Normal copyright rules apply for tunes other than those
marked `Trad.' The tunes have been classified into different categories:
Jigs, Waltzes, Slow airs, Hymns and the catch-all category of Processionals
which includes many dance tunes and some song tunes which, played at a steady
pace, make good `marching' tunes. 100 Welsh tunes arranged for for Welsh
pipes with an octave in D plus some with a C# leading note. And another 100 Welsh tunes again in ABC
format. I have occasionally been asked
